Meet Melissa
Norton

Melissa is an Italian-trained chef living in Laguna Beach and working in both LA and Laguna. Melissa studied in Calabria, Italy, surrounded by fishermen and farmland, she learned the importance of fresh ingredients and slow food. Melissa’s goal is to tell a story through her food and for it to feel personal.

Whether it’s her thumbprints on orecchiette or the slightly sour flavor from her sourdough starter in the pizza, her food feels unique and timeless. Melissa weaves a tale of warmth and unity, turning every meal into an opportunity to celebrate the love and camaraderie found within our shared human experience. Each recipe she creates is inspired by her travels and her relationships with some of the best chefs around the world. Melissa constantly travels back to Italy to learn more about the food culture and study true regional Italian cuisine. Follow along as Cucina Melissa continues to grow! So happy to have you here!
